What is a Certified Care Manager?

A care manager is a health and human services specialist who educates, guides, advocates, and serves as a resource for families caring for an older relative or a disabled adult. They specialize in elderly care issues, long-term care, and health-related problems with an extensive knowledge about costs, quality, and availability of resources.

“Living in Alabama, I was unable to visit my mom frequently, so I enlisted the assistance of a Care Manager. Barbie kept in touch with us and was very attentive to my mother’s needs. Without Barbie’s professional assistance, my mother could not have stayed in Roanoke. I am very grateful for the excellent service she provided to my mother when I was unable to be there.”
